Makeup Collection with Lipsticks and Nail Polish

Mattel and NCLA Beauty Teams Up for a Barbie Makeup Collection with Lipsticks and Nail Polish

Your old Barbie Dream House may be packed away in a basement somewhere, but that doesn't mean you have to outgrow Barbie-inspired beauty. Get ready to dust the cobwebs off of Ken thanks to NCLA Beauty's latest launch, a limited-edition collaboration with Mattel.
The retro-themed collection includes four shades of Barbie-approved nail lacquer in shades like Barbie Party (sparkly purple) and Pastel Dreams (baby pink). Don't want to go to the trouble of giving yourself a manicure? Opt for one of the four pink Nail Wrap sets printed with everything from palm trees to the Barbie logo. There are also four Jelly Balm lipsticks, each of which is Barbie-colored but goes on clear. Finally, the collection includes a bubblegum-scented cuticle oil. All products are packaged with a vintage-style Barbie logo, and the lipstick tubes and polish caps are, of course, pastel pink.
Like all of NCLA's products, the collection is completely vegan and cruelty-free. Best of all, each product is under $20 (unless you spring for the $110 collector's box.)
NCLA Beauty for Barbie is available now on nclabeauty.com — just in time to fill up the holiday stocking of someone who really, really likes pink.

Huda Beauty Is Launching Its First Classic Lipstick Bullet, and It's Very Sparkly

Huda Beauty Is Launching Its First Classic Lipstick Bullet, and It's Very Sparkly

The Kattan beauty empire is getting even bigger. In the past year, Huda Kattan has launched a reality TV show, a fragrance brand, plus plenty of new Huda Beauty goodies. Somehow, there are still beauty categories she hasn't touched. But on December 3, she'll cross a mainstream makeup milestone off her list with the launch of Huda Beauty's first lipsticks.
Kattan herself took to Instagram on Sunday to announce the Huda Beauty Power Bullet — lipsticks she described as "glittery beauties." (She filmed them sitting atop a Louis Vuitton trunk, naturally.) "Nothing says celebration like shimmers," Kattan writes on her blog, calling the lipstick formula one with "multi-reflective glitter, rich pearl pigments, and iridescent shimmers" that leave a satin effect with a glitter finish.
"We have a very exciting project launch, and this is not Kira Kira," she said in her video, alluding to the Instagram app that makes everything look cartoonishly glittery. "Introducing the new Huda Beauty Power Bullets. I actually have to zoom in and go from far because that's how shimmery and stunning it is... very shimmery, pigmented, it's just insane."
As Kattan explains, each lipstick is named after a different festive holiday season occasion. She's created sparkly pigments named New Year's Eve, After Party, and a birthday girl pink shade named Cake Day. In addition to the seasonal sparkle, the bullets are a geometric, angular shape that both looks so cool that is makes us want to try them on immediately as well as not touch them at all so as not to ruin the shape. They're packaged in minimalist ombre that Kattan describes as "straight from her sketchbook."
Also on Huda's blog, she says the lipsticks will be $20 each and you'll find them at Sephora and on shophudabeauty.com. As the launch date nears, we have a feeling Kattan is going to fill our feeds with more details on the Power Bullet. But for now, feel free to mark your shopping calendar for December 3 and find a sparkly party to attend on December 4.
